About Vereni Falls
Vereni Falls is a tall waterfall downstream from the larger Savu-i-One Waterfall in Koroyanitu National Park near Abaca (“am-BAW-thuh”) Village.
Unfortunately with this waterfall, we were only able to look down at the waterfall from its top upon a rickety wooden platform. I don’t think there was a safe way to get towards the base of the falls for a more fulfilling view.
This was a real easy waterfall to overlook considering that an excursion to Abaca would most certainly involve visiting the Savu-i-one Waterfall.
However, it wasn’t until I noticed a local map mentioning the presence of this waterfall that we decided to spend a few minutes to check it out.
The spur trail to this waterfall was about a 5-minute walk from the large clearing where the Savu-i-One Waterfall Trail began.
It was actually quite close to Abaca Village as we didn’t have to go far to reach it.
However, we did manage to continue on this trail towards the scenic overlooks near the Kokobula Bure.
