Jog Falls is created by the Sharavathi River dropping 253 m (830 ft), making it the second-highest plunge waterfall in India after the Nohkalikai Falls with a drop of 335 m (1100 ft) in Meghalaya.

Made a different list but not this one

We happened to visit Jog Falls, but it had much less water just outside the monsoon season back in November 2009. Yet even in its compromised state, it still made our Asia Top 10 List.

If we're fortunate to visit it in a better state, we'll re-evaluate the falls then.
