You only scratched the surface of New York Waterfalls

by Ron Andrews
(Rochester, NY)

Watkins Glen has 19 waterfalls. Buttermilk Falls and Robert H Treman state parks have numerous waterfalls. My friends, Rich and Sue Freeman publish a book that catalogs 200 waterfalls in Western New York. They only list the waterfalls that are publicly accessible. There is a creek in Steuben County that runs through privately owned land that has 10 waterfalls. (I have permission to visit the falls and photograph them as long as I don't publish the location.)

Adirondacks waterfalls
by: Olen

Another area of NY that you missed is the entire Adirondack region. The E. Branch of the Sacandaga River has multiple waterfalls that are completely undeveloped. Roaring Brook Falls is over 320 feet tall (though it is in several drops). There are many more falls in this region.
